Our deepest condolences for the earthquake that hit Turkey and Northern Syria, which resulted in more than 4,000 deaths. Best wishes from us, hopefully the situation can quickly return to normal and recover. Amen. Thousands died and tens of thousands were injured as a result of the earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria on Monday, 6 February 2023. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Kahramanmaras and shook several neighboring provinces, including Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Adiyaman, Malatya, Osmaniye, Hatay, and Kilis.
The quake was centered in an area north of the city of Gaziantep, the capital of Turkey’s main province of more than 2 million people. The US Geological Survey said the quake was centered about 33 kilometers from Gaziantep and had a depth of 18 km. It’s about 90 km from the Syrian border. Not only that country, the shock was also said to have been felt in Greece and Europe.
